How the calculator works

Profit = ticket revenue − materials − fixed costs − your pay − payment fees. Your pay is treated as a cost, so the profit result is the amount remaining after compensating your time.

Required ticket price = [(fixed costs + your pay + target profit) ÷ attendees + materials per attendee + flat fee] ÷ (1 − percentage fee).

Break-even seats = fixed costs including your pay ÷ contribution per seat, rounded up. Contribution is the ticket price after payment fees and per-person materials.

Calculator scope

This is a quick pricing estimate. The paid kit adds a booking decision summary, materials and time worksheet, launch and event checklists, editable promotion and customer emails, saved plans and actual-results tracking. This calculator does not add sales tax, income tax, refunds, cancellations, additional revenue, or a contingency reserve. Add a reserve to your fixed-cost estimate if needed. Treat a calculated price as a cost-based starting point, then check whether the experience offers enough value at that price.

What if the break-even number is too high?

If break-even seats exceed your likely attendance, reduce fixed costs, change the format, or consider a higher ticket price. If each extra attendee costs more than the ticket contributes, selling more seats cannot fix the loss.
