What we collect
When you unlock the starter planner, WorkshopTally stores your first name, email address, signup and access times, and whether you requested optional marketing. These records are stored in the website's private database, not displayed publicly. Your address is not yet verified.
What stays on your device
The starter's budget inputs are calculated in your browser and are not submitted with your signup. A secure access cookie keeps the starter unlocked for up to 30 days. Clearing that cookie removes access in this browser; it does not delete the signup record.
Website measurement
We count public page requests and created live checkouts by day to understand which resources are used. These aggregate counters do not store visitor names, IP addresses or unique visitor IDs. Counts can include repeat visits and bots. If you allow optional measurement, your browser tab stores a broad source label, such as a guide, Google search or a tagged campaign; that label is attached to checkout in Stripe. We do not send your calculator inputs with it. Closing the tab clears its session storage. Hosting and payment providers may separately maintain their operational logs.
Cookie preferences
Essential cookies support starter access and checkout. We save your cookie preference on this device for up to 180 days. Optional measurement, including Google Ads purchase measurement, is off until you allow it. You can choose essential only or change your choice using Cookie preferences in the footer. With measurement off, we do not store a source label in your browser or pass a campaign label into checkout. Anonymous daily page and checkout counters continue without a visitor identifier. Google Analytics is not installed. If you allow ad measurement, Google Ads may set advertising measurement cookies such as _gcl_aw (normally up to 90 days). Personalized advertising and enhanced conversions are disabled.
Google Ads purchase measurement
With your permission, we load the Google tag to measure whether an ad click leads to a confirmed live purchase. Google may receive ad-click identifiers, a limited page URL, IP address and browser/device information, purchase value and currency, and a purchase-specific transaction identifier used to avoid counting the same order twice. We do not intentionally send your name, email, payment card details, calculator inputs or download recovery token through this tag. Google processes this information under its privacy policy.
The tag stays blocked until you opt in. Choosing essential only prevents new purchase measurement from this site; if the tag has already loaded, it receives a consent-withdrawal update. We clear our accessible Google ad measurement cookies when you withdraw consent. Previously sent information is not erased by changing this setting. Global Privacy Control disables optional measurement. A change to these measurement purposes requires a fresh choice, so an earlier preference may be shown again.
Marketing is optional
You can unlock the starter without selecting marketing. Marketing requests are recorded separately. We do not currently send marketing emails or sync contacts to Mailchimp. Email verification and subscriber controls must be connected before marketing starts.
Paid kit
The paid kit's local saves and backups stay with you unless you choose to share them. Checkout uses Stripe for real payments. Stripe handles checkout and payment information; WorkshopTally checks payment status to authorize downloads.
Purchase access and support
A signed purchase cookie links your browser to checkout for up to 24 hours. If you lose access, contact support with your checkout email and purchase reference. We check the payment record before issuing a private recovery link. Recovery links expire after 24 hours. Support correspondence is handled through our Gmail inbox.
Purchase emails
We use Resend to email your purchased kit and getting-started instructions to the address recorded at checkout. This is a purchase service, separate from optional marketing. Resend processes the recipient address, email content and attachment. We store the purchase reference, sending status, provider email reference and attempt times to support delivery and avoid duplicates. Replies go to our Gmail support inbox.
Purchase-specific licence ID
Downloaded kit files contain an identifier derived from your purchase reference. Your name, email, and card details are not embedded in the kit. We can match the licence ID to a purchase for support. The offline planner does not send this ID or your planning activity to a server.
Service providers and retention
Our hosting, payment, email and support providers process information to run the service and may process it outside Canada. We retain signup, transaction and support records as needed to provide access, resolve issues and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your information; some transaction records may need to be retained. We do not sell your personal information.

For purchase support, download help, or questions about your stored signup information, email workshoptallysupport@gmail.com. Include the email address associated with your signup or purchase so we can locate the relevant record. Please do not send passwords or card details.
